The use of the word 'salon' is an homage to the past when amazing people would gather in someone's living room to discuss topics and ideas of the day. Our idea of bringing together area women in the spirit of sharing ideas, learning, laughing and making friends is a 21st century rendition of the 'salon' and was our vision when Janet Cargill and I began hosting the Information and Insights Salons. When we stood at our first 'I & I Salon' a couple of years ago and watched women gather, discuss, and laugh, we knew we were in the presence of something amazing. It is with great pride that we pass the 'I & I Salon' torch to the Career & Life Transitions Center. I invite area women to join in this movement - RSVP today and bring some friends!
